Paper Submission and Participation

Abstracts must be submitted through the online system after clicking the “Login” button on the homepage and creating an account with a valid email address and password. Submissions sent via email will not be accepted.Presentations may be delivered in Turkish or English, and the presentation duration is  15 minutes.

No participation or registration fee will be charged for accepted papers. All symposium sessions will be free of chargefor both presenters and attendees.


Abstract and Full Paper Submission

Abstract Submission Period: November 3, 2025 – February 16, 2026

Announcement of Accepted Papers: March 11–15, 2026

Full Paper Submission Deadline: May 10, 2026

After the acceptance of abstracts, participants may submit their full papers.

Full papers will be evaluated under a double-blind peer review process, in accordance with academic and ethical principles.

Papers receiving positive evaluations from reviewers will be published as an open-access e-book with an ISBN number.

Selected papers may also be invited for publication in special issues or thematic sections of peer-reviewed journals.


Peer Review Process

All abstracts and full papers submitted to the symposium are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.

The evaluation is conducted by the Scientific Committee based on the criteria of originality, scholarly contribution, methodological soundness, and thematic relevance.

Accepted papers are published as open-access with ISBN numbers in accordance with academic ethics.

As of 2026, all papers will be assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) and indexed in international databases.


Publication Opportunities

The abstracts of accepted papers will be published online in the Symposium Abstract Book.

Submitting a full paper is not mandatory for presentation.

Full papers that successfully complete the review process will be published as open-access e-books with ISBN numbers.

Selected papers may also be published in special issues or thematic sections of peer-reviewed journals.

All publications will be permanently accessible through the Istanbul Okan University Institutional Academic Archive.


Certificates of Participation

Participants presenting their papers will receive an E-certificate of presentation.

Those whose papers are accepted but not presented will receive a certificate of participation only.

No fees are charged for audience participation.

Audience members are also required to register through the system.


Symposium Language

The official languages of the symposium are Turkish and English.

Participants may deliver their presentations in either language.


Formatting Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be prepared in both Turkish and English.
  • Each abstract should include aim, method, findings, results, and recommendations, containing a minimum of 250 and a maximum of 500 words.
  • The abstract should be written as a single paragraph without subheadings.
  • After one line space, a maximum of five keywords should be provided.
  • The abstract text and keywords should be justified on both sides.
  • The title should be written in Calibri 11 pt, bold, with only the first letter capitalized.
  • Author names should appear below the title, and a footnote should include each author’s institution, department, title, email, and ORCID.
  • Abstracts must be uploaded in Word format (.docx) only. Submissions in PDF or other formats will not be accepted.
